Chessimals Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 16, 2026

Chessimals is a chess-teaching game for kids ages 4–8, played entirely on your device. This page explains, plainly, what that means for your and your child's privacy.

What Chessimals does not do

Apple's App Privacy details for Chessimals, shown on its App Store page and bundled inside the app itself as a privacy manifest, confirm this independently: zero data types collected, no tracking.

What Chessimals does store

The app saves your child's settings (like sound and voice preferences) and game progress (like which chess pieces they've mastered so far) — and that's the only thing it stores. This lives only on your device, inside the app's own private storage. It never leaves your device, is never sent to a server (there is no Chessimals server), and is permanently deleted the moment you delete the app.

The parent area

Chessimals has a small parent area — settings and a progress dashboard — for grown-ups. It sits behind a simple arithmetic question that a young child can't answer, and Chessimals is listed in the App Store's Kids category.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Chessimals is built for young children, and we take that seriously by collecting nothing from anyone. Because the app gathers zero personal information — from children or adults alike — there is no personal information from children for us to collect, use, or share, in keeping with COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).
